On Friday, Oct. 20, Botetourt County Historical Society, Inc. will welcome State Underwater Archaeologist Brendan Burke as the keynote speaker for the annual Founder’s Day Dinner. He will discuss the history of the Marshall Tunnel and the canal in Botetourt. Tickets are $40/person and available at the museum and online. Founder’s Day will take place at Fincastle United Methodist Church’s Family Life Center beginning at 6:30 p.m. that evening.
