“The Trip to Bountiful” by Horton Foote, and directed by Cathy Henderson, is coming the stage this month at Attic Productions, 7490 Roanoke Road, Fincastle.
In this story, Carrie Watts, an elderly woman, longs to return to her hometown of Bountiful, Texas, and escape the cramped Houston apartment where she lives with her protective son, Ludie, and authoritarian daughter-in-law. She escapes to the bus station, befriends a young woman, and they travel together. Is her beloved town as she remembered it?
