Austin (AJ) James Entsminger, 23, of Buchanan, passed away Thursday, March 18, 2021.
He was a 2017 graduate from James River High School. He was an avid fire department volunteer. He enjoyed riding Harleys and was a member of the Purgatory Mountain Abate motorcycle club. He had a passion for music and played his guitar faithfully.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Leah Entsminger; grandparents, Lee Lile, Jim and Lela Byrd, and Jodi Falstreaux; and great-grandparents, James and Velma Entsminger.
He is survived by his father, Richie (Julie) Entsminger; sister, Brandi Bowen; brother, Brandon Bradford; nieces, Alyssa McCullough and Shay Lynn Fowler; grandparents, Irvin and Jewel Martin, Richard “Ricky” Entsminger, Sr.; aunts, Danielle and Nikki Trail; great-aunts and great-uncles, JC Entsminger, Patsy Entsminger, Billy and Lisa Entsminger, Mike Fox, Judy Fox, and Yvonne Yopp; and numerous cousins and extended family.
A memorial gathering was held on Friday, March 26, from 6 to 8 p.m. with Fire Department Last Call honors at 8 p.m. at the Buchanan Chapel of Botetourt Funeral Home.
