Hannah Austin, a graduate of James River High School, and Elaina Prillaman, a graduate of Lord Botetourt High School, were among the 443 students who received degrees during Washington and Lee University’s 230th commencement on May 25 on the front lawn of the Lexington campus.
Austin earned a double major with a Bachelor of Arts in History, Bachelor of Arts in Religion and a Minor in Music. Austin was awarded the William A. Jenks Scholarship at W&L for the 2016-17 academic year. The scholarship is awarded to students of unusual academic merit with strong interest in history.
Prillaman graduated as a double major with a Bachelor of Arts in Politics and a Bachelor of Arts in Classics.
