Roanoke College freshman Linsey Bailey, a 2018 graduate of James River High School, has been named the 2018 ODAC Rookie of the Year and First-Team All-ODAC selection in volleyball.
Bailey is RC’s first, first-team selection since 2010. The Fincastle native made an immediate impact for RC by leading the ODAC in kills with 418 and kills per game with 4.45. Her .255 hitting percentage ranks ninth best in the ODAC.
Defensively, Linsey posted 339 digs and 3.61 digs per set which both rank 14th in the league. A three-time ODAC Player of the Week, Bailey had double-digit kills in all but two of the 27 matches she played in. She had 18 double-doubles on the year and 20 or more kills on six different occasions.
