Bays has a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with an emphasis in Accounting from Emory & Henry College. He also graduated from the Graduate School of Banking at Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge in June of 2018. He currently serves as the treasurer for the Kiwanis Club of Botetourt. In his spare time, he enjoys golfing, attending community events and volunteering at his church. Bays grew up in Gate City, Va. and resides in Botetourt County with his daughter, Annabelle.
Ginny M. Hicks, Deposit Operations Officer/Head of Retail Support, has earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration with a focus in Leadership from Liberty University. Hicks has been with the bank for 10 years and works from the Customer Care Center in the Town of Buchanan. Prior to joining the bank, she was a pharmacy technician for 18 years. She works closely with the retail staff in regard to operating systems and daily functions.
Hicks is a member of the Botetourt Character Counts! Leadership Council and enjoys volunteering, reading and spending time outside. She was born in Ft. Bragg, N.C., raised in Botetourt County and graduated from James River High School. She resides in the Eagle Rock area with her husband Jeff and their son Dylan.
President and CEO G. Lyn Hayth III expressed his congratulations to both Bays an Hicks. “We are delighted with the investment they’ve made in themselves. They each managed to carry on and complete their coursework throughout the ups and downs of the past year and we couldn’t be prouder,” he said.
