Bank of Botetourt’s ‘Casual for a Cause’ raises $300 for St. Jude’s, Carilion Children’s Hospitals

Staff at Bank of Botetourt’s Daleville and Troutville offices dressed down for the first “Casual for a Cause” on Friday, Nov. 3.

Bank of Botetourt is pleased to announce a new initiative “Casual for a Cause” where employees will dress down and donate to a charity.

Casual for a Cause has been designated as the first Friday of every month. Bank employees will make a small donation and customers or anyone from the community is also invited to donate. This initiative will continue throughout the 2018 year and all the proceeds will be disbursed monthly.

The charities that would directly benefit from this program were selected through a voting process among the bank staff. The charities include St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital, Carilion Children’s Hospital, American Red Cross, Autism Speaks, Juvenile Diabetes, SPCA, New Freedom Farm, American Cancer Society, North Botetourt Community Garden & Feeding America, Angels of Assisi, End Alzheimer’s, Rockbridge Area Hospice, American Heart Association, Roanoke Rescue Mission and League for Animal Protection and Cats Unlimited.

The inaugural Casual for a Cause kicked off on Friday, Nov. 3, raising over $300 which benefited St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital and Carilion Children’s Hospital.

Chartered in 1899 Bank of Botetourt operates 12 retail offices in Botetourt, Rockbridge, Roanoke, and Franklin counties and in the City of Salem. Bank of Botetourt also operates a mortgage division, Virginia Mountain Mortgage, and a financial services division, Botetourt Wealth Management.
