With the high school basketball season less than two weeks away, the Lord Botetourt and James River basketball teams will have preseason scrimmages in the coming week.
Lord Botetourt will host Salem at 10 a.m. this Saturday in a boys basketball scrimmage. The Cavaliers’ second scrimmage will be next Tuesday, November 23, at home against Glenvar.
The Botetourt girls will scrimmage Alleghany tomorrow, November 18, in Daleville. The girls will travel to Glenvar next Tuesday.
The James River boys will be home Friday to host Patrick Henry in a scrimmage. The Knights will travel to St. Anne’s-Belfield in Charlottesville next Tuesday.
The River girls will see their first action under new coach Ryan Firebaugh on Thursday of this week when they scrimmage at Cave Spring. River will host Roanoke Valley Christian next Tuesday for a scrimmage in Springwood.
