Botetourt County Public Schools recognized the 2023-24 Teachers of the Year during last week’s School Board meeting in Fincastle. Superintendent Jonathan Russ congratulated this year’s recipients before the teachers received their recognitions. BCPS held a banquet on Dec. 2 at the Virginia Railways Station event venue for this year’s Teachers of the Year.
This year’s BCPS 2023-24 Teachers of the Year: Anne Swandby (Breckinridge Elementary), Jennifer King (Buchanan Elementary), Danielle Tolley (Cloverdale Elementary), Angela Murphy (Colonial Elementary), Elizabeth Hipes (Eagle Rock Elementary), Heather Breeden (Greenfield Elementary), Megan Young (Troutville Elementary), Jane Wolfe (Central Academy), Tracey White (Read Mountain), Chris Zalewski (Botetourt Technical Education Center), Samantha Galanes (James River), and Kristy Muddiman (Lord Botetourt).
