A benefit ride for an Angel Tree project is scheduled for July 22, beginning in Buchanan. Registration begins at 9:30 a.m. at the Buchanan Firehouse with bikes and autos out by 10 a.m. It will include the Eagle Rock Fire Department and Botetourt County.
The ride is to benefit an Angel Tree project for needy children in the Buchanan and Eagle Rock areas. The toys will be stored in the Buchanan Firehouse until distributed in December. All monetary donations will be deposited in the Angel Tree Project account.
The cost is $10 for the driver and $5 for a passenger (checks payable to Angel Tree Project). A toy worth $10 or more may be given in lieu of $10. The benefit includes the ride, 50/50, silent auction and lunch (hot dog, chips and drink). It is sponsored by ABATE of Va. and Buchanan Moose Lodge 2182.
