Recently Hurricane Dorian slammed into the Bahamas and skimmed the United States. One event devastated an island, the other caused blood drives along the East Coast to be cancelled. Blood is always in critical need but especially now as the effects of this devastating hurricane are being felt.
St. Mark’s United Methodist Church and the American Red Cross are sponsoring a blood drive this Saturday, Sept. 14 between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. One unit of blood can help three people.
You can register at St. Mark’s UMC or on line at www.redcrossblood.org.
Sandwiches, treats and drinks will be provided. Everyone who donates will receive a coupon for a free haircut at Sports Clips and a book.
St. Mark’s UMC also provides a coloring table for children and adults.
St. Mark’s is located across from Kroger in Daleville at 19 Cedar Ridge Drive. Call 977-2675 for more information.
