The American Red Cross will hold a blood drive this Saturday, Sept. 21, from 8 a.m. until noon at The Church of the Transfiguration. The church is located a 7624 Roanoke Road, just south of the Fincastle Town Limits. You can register on line at www.recrossblood.org or call 1-800-REDCROSS.
Severe weather, such as the recent Hurricane Dorian, forced the cancellation of blood drives and decreased donor turnout in affected areas, resulting in thousands of uncollected donations. The American Red Cross sends blood wherever it is needed and is asking for help to replenish the blood supply.
