The Blue Ridge District swim meet, scheduled for Friday at the Gator Center in Roanoke, has been postponed to a later day. The meet is being postponed due to a lack of judges and officials, and a makeup date was not announced at press time.
Lord Botetourt is scheduled to swim in the BRD meet whenever a time is decided. The Cavaliers swam against Staunton River, William Fleming and Roanoke Catholic last Thursday at the Botetourt YMCA and had some strong performances.
LB’s 200 medley relay team of Layne Jones, Julia Misicko, Sam Bishop and Ella Johnston took first. Botetourt also won the 200 Free relay with Olivia Nicely, Misicko, Jones and Hannah Mizuba.
Individually, Misicko won the 200 Free, Jones won the 200 IM and 100 Backstroke, Nicely won the 100 Breast, Johnston won the 500 Free and Mizuba won the 50 Free and 100 Butterfly.
For the LB boys, Max Mizuba won the 200 IM and 100 Back.
The Cavaliers are scheduled to swim at Hollins University on Thursday.
James River was weathered out of a meet at the Bedford YMCA last week. The Knights were scheduled to swim at the Salem YMCA on Tuesday, but results were too late for publication. River has a home meet with William Fleming at the Botetourt YMCA on Thursday.
