The Botetourt County Board of Supervisors will hold a public hearing about a proposal for a Wawa convenience store in Daleville at its meeting this Tuesday, January 23, at the County Administration Center in Daleville. The public hearing will begin at 6 p.m.
The Botetourt Planning Commission voted to deny approval of the request from Fralin & Waldron for a Special Exception Permit (SEP) for the development of a Wawa convenience store in the Daleville Town Center at its meeting in Daleville last week.
The Planning Commission heard from several citizens who spoke in opposition, expressing traffic concerns and other issues that could come from a new fueling/convenience store location at the corner of Roanoke Road and Glebe Road.
