The Market Gallery’s Featured Artists Show opens on Art By Night, Friday, March 6, featuring artists Ed Bordett and Donna Essig. An opening reception will be held on Art By Night, Friday, March 3, 5:30-9 p.m. Artists’ talks are 6:15 – 7:15 p.m.
Ed Bordett’s “Fire Eater” is one of a new series of oil paintings based on carnival sideshows. Bordett plans to hang similarly themed smaller works, including miniatures, with his 8′ x 3′ “Fire-Eater.”
Donna Essig is exhibiting an exquisitely rendered series of watercolor paintings of North American wildlife icons, including the red fox, the buffalo, the lynx, and the bighorn ram.
The late-winter show hangs from February 28 through March 25. There will be an opening reception for the show on Art by Night, Friday, March 3, 5:30-9:00.
The Market Gallery, a regional artists’ cooperative, is open 10 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Tuesday-Saturday.
