The Botetourt-Phillips sandlot football team defeated Cave Spring in the Sandlot Super Bowl semifinal last Saturday at Bogle Field in Roanoke County. With the win Botetourt advances to this Saturday’s Sandlot Super Bowl championship game.
Botetourt will play the 10 a.m. game of the tripleheader against Glenvar at Bogle Field, behind Cave Spring Middle School. The 8-U, 10-U and 12-U championship games were scheduled for Salem Stadium but were forced to move when the Trump campaign scheduled a rally at the Salem Civic Center for Saturday afternoon.
The 10-U championship game will follow Botetourt’s game at noon, and that will be between Salem and Cave Spring Red. The 12-U game is at 2 p.m. and that will be between Salem and Franklin County.
