Fincastle is now on the Virginia Lewis and Clark trail after decades of hard work. The visits of Meriwether Lewis and William Clark to Botetourt County are well known in Virginia history. A ceremony was held Sunday, May 19 to dedicate the two trail signs. One is in front of the Botetourt County Courthouse and one is on the exterior wall of the Botetourt County Museum. The story of their experience can be viewed at the new exhibit in the Botetourt County Museum. The museum is open 10-2 Monday-Saturday and 2-4 Sunday.
