This is a child’s potty chair, circa 1880. It was used in the home of Sam Crush and is primitively made out of pine. It was donated to the Botetourt County Historical Museum by Mr. and Mrs. Sam Wilson of Fincastle. Today, it is in the Pioneer Room upstairs in the museum.
