This limited edition “Solo in the Spotlight” clock was part of the Barbie exhibit at the Botetourt Museum of History and Culture. It was given to Mary Ann Layman Miller by her aunt, Sandra Sue Layman Bolton, in 1995. Margot Robbie, who played Barbie in the 2023 movie, wore an exact copy of this black dress complete with black gloves, red rose, scarf and necklace when she walked the red carpet in Hollywood on July 9, 2023. It was custom designed by Schiaparelli. The iconic Barbie has survived hatred and love and is still celebrated all over the world.
