This vintage Edwardian organdy and lace wedding dress was worn by Willie May Brugh in 1905. Wedding and white lawn dresses such as this became popular after the Great War (WWI). They were made of light cotton and lace with long gathered free flowing skirts for freedom of movement. This and some upstairs artifacts can no longer be seen at the Botetourt County Museum. They are being carefully boxed for their move out of the building by February 1, 2022.
