This is a photograph from 1916 showing students in front of Daleville College. There are several of these class photographs at the Botetourt History Museum but few have names to go with them. Daleville College began as a private school in 1890. In 1891 construction of school buildings began and in 1892 the school incorporated as the Botetourt Normal College. It was renamed Daleville College in 1910. Today, the buildings are apartments and are located behind the Daleville First Bank building. Call the museum at 540-473-0148 or come by if you have an identification on anyone in the photo.
