Botetourt County is launching a series of community meetings this month to gather input on land use needs, challenges, and opportunities on the horizon.
Participants can explore maps and materials, talk to facilitators and other participants, and share their opinions about how different areas in the community should develop in the future. County planners will use the data to inform additional public input processes and planning documents.
The informal open house style events will take place in April and May at locations throughout Botetourt:
• April 24, 10 a.m. to 12 p.m., Fincastle Library
• April 30, 4 to 7 p.m., Blue Ridge Library
• May 7, 4 to 7 p.m., Greenfield Education and Training Center
• May 14, 4 to 7 p.m., Buchanan Library
The events are free and open to the public. Anyone who cannot attend a workshop can still make his or her voice heard. Visit the website at https://visionboco.wordpress.com/ for more information.
