The Botetourt Chamber of Commerce held a ribbon cutting Sunday afternoon to welcome the new Botetourt Event Center on US 11 south of Buchanan next to Botetourt Funeral Home.
Owners Ray and Bobbi Sloan and manager Karen Conner did the honors while Chamber representatives Lee Minnix, Chamber Marketing and Events Coordinator Hannah Emerson, and incoming Chamber President Mary Ann Miller helped. Looking on are employees, family and friends who got a tour of the new facility during an open house. The event center is available for rent for private and community activities.
