The Lord Botetourt girls won the Blue Ridge District track meet and the boys took third in last week’s meet at William Fleming High School.
LB coach Christopher Caldwell was named girls’ “Coach of the Year” as the Cavaliers edged William Byrd in the meet, 128 to 126. Host Fleming had 108, Northside had 82 and Staunton River scored 44 points.

William Fleming won the boys meet with 183 points, followed by Byrd with 103. LB and Northside tied for third with 86 and Staunton River had 53.
Connor Hayes of LB was named the boys’ “Runner of the Meet.” Hayes scored 20 points by winning the Boys 1600 and the Boys 800.
