Botetourt K-9 unit nets narcotics bust

Acting on a complaint of suspicious activity from a concerned citizen, a Botetourt County K-9 Unit initiated an investigation that resulted in the discovery of a considerable amount of illegal narcotics, including 3 pounds of marijuana, 8.6 grams of methamphetamine, 3 grams of heroin, and 18 grams of an unknown powdery substance that officials say they believe to be fentanyl based on statements made by a suspect.
