Buchanan Lions Club donates AC unit to Town Improvement Society, adds new member
The Buchanan Town Improvement Society (TIS) currently owns and maintains the Wilson Warehouse/Community House. It rents the building for wedding receptions, anniversary parties, family reunions, and public meetings. It currently has a focus of working on restoration projects surrounding the Wilson Warehouse.
The Buchanan Lions Club supports TIS and, in fact, many of the Lions are members of TIS. The Lions hold their annual Tea Party at the Wilson Warehouse and at the last Tea Party, the Lions noticed a need for more air conditioning. After reviewing this with the TIS, the club purchased and donated a portable air conditioning unit that would meet the requirements of being used in a historical building.
