BUCHANAN – Jackie’s Girls was one of nearly three dozen teams that participated in the annual Botetourt Relay for Life fund raiser for the American Cancer Society.
Jackie’s Girls was the top team by raising $7,069. The Knight Crawlers from James River High School was in second place with $6,559. By Tuesday morning, the Relay had raised over $84,000 on its way to a goal of $91,000.
The all-night event held at the Buchanan Carnival Grounds included a Survivors’ Lap (pictured here), live music, luminaries to remember and honor cancer victims, food, games and other activities.
