The boys will be home and the girls will be in Moneta when the Lord Botetourt soccer teams take on Staunton River this Friday.
Both teams opened against William Fleming with mixed results last week. The girls won 14-0 in Daleville as nine different Cavaliers scored. The boys played in Roanoke and battled the Colonels to a scoreless tie.
“We know season after season it is going to be a battle against Fleming,” said LB coach Tim Wright. “To have only one formation-based practice, I was overall impressed and look forward to the season ahead.”
Both teams played William Byrd on Tuesday, but results were too late for publication.
