The regular session meeting of the Botetourt/Craig/Roanoke County FSA Committee will be held Thursday, June 15 at 10 a.m. at the Botetourt/Craig/Roanoke FSA County Office. As part of this meeting, the FSA County Committee will be conducting an informational election meeting for the public at 11a.m., which will include the following:
- General Role of FSA in the community and how LAA’ss are determined
- County Committee roles and responsibilities
- How to submit nominations and voter eligibility
- The County Committee ballot, voting process, and how elections are held in the FSA election process or interested in submitting a nomination to serve on the Farm Service Agency County Committee for Craig County or Roanoke County is encouraged to attend this informational session for the 2017 election at 11 a.m. Newly elected committee members for Craig and Roanoke will begin their term of office January 1, 2018.
The Botetourt/Craig/Roanoke FSA County Office is located at the Bonsack USDA Service Center, Jack C. Smith Industrial Park, 36 Executive Circle, Suite 1, Roanoke, VA 24012-8939. The public is invited to attend both the FSA County Committee Regular Session Meeting and the 2017 Election Informational Meeting to be held in the service center’s conference room.
