Sarah Jeannine Snider Bowe, 95, of Cloverdale, peacefully left us for a Heavenly Home on Sunday, November 10, 2024.
She was preceded in death by her husband, George Forrest Bowe; her parents, Chester and Lillian Snider; and two sisters, Betty Snider Aker and Shirley Snider Stiltner.
Jeannine is survived by two daughters, Martha Bowe Kirby (Rodney) of Atlanta, Ga., and Diane Bowe Bowles (Michael) of Blue Ridge; a sister, Charlotte Snider Wilson; five grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; many special nieces and nephews; and sister-in-law, Betty Bowe Nichols.
She was a 1946 graduate of Troutville High School and a 1949 graduate of Jefferson School of Nursing. Jeannine worked for over 30 years at the Asthma and Allergy Center. She was a member of the Williamson Road Church of the Brethren for over 60 years.
The family will receive friends on Sunday, November 17, 2024 from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. at Oakey’s East Chapel. The funeral service will be held on Monday, November 18, 2024 at 12 p.m. at Oakey’s East Chapel with the Rev. Troy Mays officiating. Interment will follow in Trinity Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be made to the Meals on Wheels, 4932 Frontage Road NW, Roanoke, 24019. Arrangements by Oakey’s East Chapel, 540-977-3909.
