Brenda Robertson Simmons, 62, of Fincastle, , died on Friday, December 3, 2021. She was born and grew up in Roanoke. Fincastle became her home. She often said she felt lucky to live in a postcard.
Brenda enjoyed spending time cooking, long daily walks, yoga, reading, rides with Willie on their motorcycle sidecar rig and traveling. She was excited to complete the big item on her bucket list by visiting all 50 states.
Brenda is survived by her husband of 38 years, Willie Simmons; son and daughter-in-law, Hunter and Meredith Simmons of Indianapolis, Ind., along with her granddog, Fin; aunt, Jean Cundiff of Virginia Beach, Va. She is also survived by her sister-in-law, Patsy Dickerson and husband David; brother-in-law, Marshall Leitch; niece, Leeann Crews (Scott); nephews, Patrick Dickerson (Ariel), William Dickerson (Kyleen), and Allen Dickerson; and other relatives and friends.
Instead of a service Brenda thought you should take an hour and do something fun. Remember, life is good – get out and enjoy it!
