Peggy Sue Thomasson Broughman, 84, of Eagle Rock, passed away Saturday, July 13, 2024.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Romie B. Thomasson, Sr. and Pauline Myers Thomasson; brothers, Henry (Hawkeye), Romie, Jr., and Robert. She was a active member of Eagle Rock Baptist Church serving as the Choir Director for many years. Peggy loved wearing her hats and hummingbirds.
She loved her family deeply and is survived by her husband of 64 years, Joe Everette Broughman, Sr.; daughter, Dianna (Tom) Bauman; sons, Joe E. Broughman Jr. and David (Ruth Ann) Broughman; sisters, Georgia Ayers and Della Hylton; six grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews. Special thanks to Good Samaritan Hospice and her nurse, Cali, for the loving care shown to Peggy.
The family received friends on Tuesday, July, 16 from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. in Eagle Rock Baptist Church, with her funeral service will at 12 p.m. with Pastor Billy Ronk officiating.
