The Friends of the Buchanan Library has new space for storage and book sales. For the past 10 years, the Friends of the Buchanan held their Used Book Sales in the basement of the Buchanan Library. Late in 2020, the Friends needed to find a new space to not only store their books, but also a site to hold future book sales. The Buchanan Rescue Squad came to their rescue and offered an unused space in the Carson Memorial Rescue Squad Center, located directly across the street from the Buchanan Fire Department. In the new space there is more space for books, better lighting, and parking on Main Street. The Friends hopefully will again be holding their book and yard sales in the Carson Memorial Building. In the meantime, donations of used books (no magazines, textbooks or encyclopedias) may be dropped off at the Buchanan Library. Call 928-3005 to arrange COVID-19 safe delivery of your used books with the library staff.
