Botetourt County Public Schools will celebrate graduating students who earned industry certifications through courses offered at Botetourt Technical Education Center (BTEC) and are being offered full time employment in the workforce.
The Career Signing Day on Wednesday, May 12 at 10 a.m. at Central Academy Middle School will highlight students who have been working part-time through Apprenticeship and School-to-Work programs, or have earned professional certifications, and have been offered full-time employment upon graduation. Students and representatives of their future employers will sign symbolic letters of agreement as families, students, school staff and distinguished guests look on.
This event will recognize students transitioning directly to the workforce, and illustrate the success they are having as a result of the career preparation they have received through training in Career and Technical Education courses.
