The Lord Botetourt soccer girls went 1-1 to open the spring season last week. The Cavaliers lost to Blacksburg at home, 1-0, then bounced back to beat Patrick Henry, also in Daleville, 3-0.
“Tight game with Blacksburg,” said LB coach Giuseppe D’Arpa. “Much better showing for the Lady Cavs against PH.”
Bria Harvey scored twice for the Cavaliers in the win over Patrick Henry while Ella Fletcher scored the other. Cailey Petrauskas had two assists and Katherine Woodward had one.
The girls are off for spring break this week, returning with their first two road games against New River Valley teams. They’re at Blacksburg next Tuesday, April 1, then head to Christiansburg a day later.
