The Knights bounced back a night later with a five-set win over Staunton River in Springwood. The visiting Eagles won the first set, 26-24, but the Knights won the next two, 25-21 and 25-11. Staunton River evened the marathon match with a 25-23 win in the fourth set, but the River girls took control in the fifth and deciding set to 15, winning 15-6.

“Christiansburg has a very good team,” said Conner, as the Cavaliers fell to 3-4 on the season.
