The Lord Botetourt softball team will play host to Salem today in a non-district game, hoping to sweep the season series from the Spartans. The two teams played in the season opener and LB took a 10-1 win at the Moyer Complex.
The Cavs came into the week with 10-2 record and a 6-1 record in Blue Ridge District games. They were scheduled to play Northside at home on Tuesday, but results were too late for publication. On Friday the Cavs have another non-district game at Hidden Valley, then they have back-to-back games on Monday and Tuesday of next week at home against Cave Spring and Franklin County.
Last Friday the girls traveled to William Byrd and took a 12-1 slaughter rule win over the Terriers.
