The Botetourt County Chamber of Commerce board of directors voted on February 24 to appoint Khari Ryder as the executive director of the Chamber.
Ryder brings a wide skill set to this role. He has served as finance director at Total Action Against Poverty (TAP), project manager and research and development specialist for Stik-Pak Solutions, principal at Principal Endeavors, LLC, and adjunct professor for Midway University. He is also the founder of Equine Endeavors, a business that brings together his extensive knowledge of equine education, training, and open judging.
He is a proven business leader, academic and management consultant. He also has completed his doctoral course work in Education (Ed.D.) with a focus in Organizational Leadership.
With Ryder’s appointment, Keith Hartman will resume his position as secretary and as a board member and continue his work as regional executive for the Virginia Council of CEOs. The Chamber board appreciates the contributions Hartman made as interim executive director.
