Spaghetti dinner Saturday in Buchanan
The youth at Buchanan Baptist Church will be having a spaghetti dinner fundraiser on Saturday, Feb. 11 from 5-7 p.m. in the church fellowship hall. The cost is $6 for dine in or carry out. Buchanan Baptist is located at 19730 Main Street, Buchanan.
Lunch, dessert auction at Mill Creek
Mill Creek Baptist Church and the 2017 Dominican Republic Love God, Love Others and Serve the World Mission Team is holding its 7th Annual Dessert Auction/Luncheon on Sunday, Feb. 12 after the 10:45 a.m. worship service.
Lunch consist of baked spaghetti, salad, rolls, brownies and cookies. Takeout lunches are available. The dessert auction will begin around 12:30 p.m.
All proceeds from the auction will go toward the church’s preschool, Soli Deo Gloria School, in Santo Domingo.
Valentine event Saturday in Blue Ridge
A Valentine potluck will be held at 6 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 13 at Blue Ridge Church of the Brethren. The evening will include games and prizes. All are invited.
Eagle Rock Clothes Closet dates
The Clothes Closet at Eagle Rock United Methodist Church will be open Wednesday, Feb. 8, from 5-6:30 p.m. and Saturday, Feb. 11, 9 a.m. to noon. Wild Game event at Colonial Baptist
Colonial Baptist Church in Blue Ridge is hosting a Sportsmen’s Wild Game Dinner on Saturday, Feb. 11, at 6 p.m. This is a free event for area sportsmen (and women). There will be first, second, and third place prizes given for the best fish, best deer, and most unusual mounts. There will also be a variety of hunting and fishing door prizes including a muzzleloader, knives, rods and reels, and much more.
Guest speaker is J.R. Adkins, Bass Pro Redhead Field Staff and NITRO Team Member, and former host of Grassroots Television and Shallow H2O Outdoors.

Bonsack Baptist WEEC consignment sale March 4
The Bonsack Baptist Weekday Early Education Center (WEEC) consignment sale will be held Saturday, March 4 beginning at 8 a.m. in the new Community Life Center at Bonsack Baptist.
All proceeds from the sale directly benefit the local preschool. It is completely run by volunteers. The one-day consignment sale will host items ranging from maternity to teens to toys to nursery decor.
