Fish fry at Mill Creek on May 25
The Alaska Mission Team and The Standing Rock Mission Team will host a Fish Fry in the Mill Creek Baptist Church fellowship hall on Saturday, May 25, from 4:30-7 p.m. The meal will consist of two pieces of fish, parsley potatoes slaw and a corn muffin. For those eating in, a beverage of tea, lemonade, water or coffee will be available. As always, homemade desserts will be for sale. Tickets are $9 each and advance tickets are recommended by calling 540-797-2304 or 540-520-2213.
Baptist Mid-Missions program at Faith Baptist
Dr. Larry Fogle and his wife, Sallie, with Baptist Mid-Missions will present the ministry of the Pastoral Enrichment Program at Faith Baptist Church on Sunday, May 28. This is a missionary outreach which spans the globe serving foreign pastors in their native churches. Larry and Sallie have served with Baptist Mid-Missions since 1975 having ministered 20 years in Central African Republic and Zambia. They also served 11 years with Bibles International. They have ministered in Asia and the Pacific, Africa and Europe, South America and the Caribbean. Dr. Fogle has developed courses for use in mission training schools worldwide.

Troutville Brethren spring revival June 2-5
Troutville Church of the Brethren invites the public to spring revival services June 2-5. Services will be held at 11 a.m. on June 2, and at 7 p.m. June 3-5. Speakers will be Ed and Emma Jean Woodard. A potluck, meal will follow the morning service on June 2.
Family Night Dinner at Buchanan Presbyterian
Buchanan Presbyterian Church will hold its monthly Family Night Dinner on Wednesday, June 5 beginning at 6:30 p.m. in the fellowship hall. Bring your favorite covered-dish selections along with you to add to the other entrees, salads and desserts.
This evening is “Bring A Friend Night” along with an “Ugly Tie Contest-Male & Female.”
The special guest speaker will be Melissa Lucas from the Botetourt Resource Center, telling about the many varied ministries of this local resource.
Cloverdale Brethren fashion show June 8
The public is invited to a fashion show at Cloverdale Church of the Brethren on Saturday, June 8 at 2 p.m. The afternoon will include tea, cookies, fashion tips and a family fashion show. It is sponsored by the Heaven Sent Thrift Shop. The church is located at 4708 Read Mountain Road, Cloverdale.
Celebration by the River June 9-13
The Buchanan Area Ministerial Association (BAMA) will host a community-wide “Celebration by the River” from 6-8 p.m. June 9-13 at the Buchanan Flea Market site. The featured speaker will be Rick Via, founder of “World Reach.” He has led missions in Burma, Uganda and Myanmar. Wes Winebarger will provide the music each evening. The public is encouraged to attend.
BAMA is a not-for-profit association of churches in the Buchanan area. Its mission is to assist those in need in the community through various means and ministries.
