Springwood Food Pantry open today
The Springwood Baptist Food Pantry will be open on April 18 from 10 a.m. until noon. Additionally, Feeding America Southwest Virginia’s produce delivery vehicle, the “Veggie Mobile,” will be onsite to distribute fresh fruits and vegetables to community members in need free of charge. This program is part of the food bank’s Mobile Produce Program. Stop by and take advantage of this valuable opportunity to get fresh, healthy produce. In the future, the “Veggie Mobile” will visit the Springwood Baptist Food Pantry on the first and third Wednesdays of each month at 10 a.m.

Ebenezer Clothes Closet open Saturday
The Clothes Closet at Ebenezer United Methodist Church will be open from 9 a.m.-noon on Saturday, April 21. There is a good selection of men’s, women’s and children’s clothing, as well as household items. Come early for the best selection. Ebenezer UMC is located at 85 Nace Road in Troutville and is handicapped accessible. All items are free and everyone is welcome.
Revival this weekend at Cave Rock Baptist
Cave Rock Baptist Church will hold revival April 20-22. On Friday and Saturday, supper will begin at 6 p.m. and the service at 7 p.m. Friday’s speaker is J.R. Graybill and Saturday’s speaker is Bob Harrington. The service on Sunday begins at 11 a.m. with speaker John Saunders. Lunch will follow. The church is located at 2233 Stoney Battery Road, Troutville.
Cloverdale Church of the Brethren Thrift Shop
Spring has sprung at the thrift shop. It now has all spring and summer clothes in stock. That includes a great selection of infant, children, women and men. The shop is open each Saturday 9 a.m.-1 p.m..
Fincastle UMC Chicken BBQ Dinner
The Fincastle United Methodist Church Chicken BBQ Dinner will take place Saturday, April 21 from 4-7 p.m. at the VFW Building on US 220 South of Fincastle. Tickets are $10. Shiloh Cemetery needs donations
Shiloh Methodist Church Cemetery is asking for those who have loved ones buried in the cemetery or own plots to give monetary donations to help with the upkeep of the cemetery. There has been some extra expenses due to the bad wind storms, such as having trees and stumps removed, repair on fence and also doing some needed repairs in the cemetery, such as repairs to headstones that were damaged. ‘Ladies Night Out’ at First Baptist
The ladies at First Baptist Church of Fincastle, located at 6529 Blue Ridge Turnpike, Fincastle, where the Rev. Montie E. Brown Sr. is pastor, invite their Sisters in Christ to come out and fellowship with them on Saturday, April 21, at 4 p.m. for their annual “Ladies Night Out.”
The speaker will be their own Sister Pamela Burrell Binns, who is a willing worker and on the battlefield for the Lord. Refreshments will be served following the program.

Pancake fundraiser at Solomon’s Mission
Solomon’s Mission in Buchanan is holding a pancake breakfast fundraiser from 7-11 a.m. Saturday, April 28. The cost is $8; children 10 and under eat free. All proceeds go to the upkeep of Solomon’s Mission.
Knights of Columbus fish fry April 27
The Knights of Columbus will have a fish fry from 5-7 p.m. Friday, April 27 at the Church of the Transfiguration, 7624 Roanoke Road, Fincastle. The cost is $9 for 8-year-old through adults; children 7 and under, free. The meal includes fried flounder (or chicken nuggets for children), homemade slaw, sweet cornbread, fries and dessert.
