Health Fair at Mill Creek Baptist
Mill Creek Baptist Community Health Fair will be held Saturday, April 8 from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. This event is free and open to the public. Visitors can drop in to meet the vendors, get a massage, eat lunch and listen to music by Mike Lee’s students.
Vendors will include massage therapy, home health, hospice, skilled nursing facilities, assisted living, home care services, PACE Program and other health care resources.

Pleasant Hill hosting ‘Worship with Anthony Evans’
Pleasant Hill Baptist Church will host “Priscilla Shirer Simulcast/Worship with Anthony Evans” on Saturday, April 8. Registration begins at 9 a.m. with the event running from 10 a.m.-5:30 p.m. Lunch will be provided. Seating is limited so register early by emailing phbcweb@gmail.com or by calling the church line at 992-5556. The day will include door prizes, exhibits, photo booth and more. There is no charge for this event, but be sure to register as soon as possible.
Free lunch Saturday at Solomon’s Mission
Solomon’s Mission on Lowe Street in Buchanan will be serving free lunch on Saturday, April 8 from 11:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. Lunch will be hot dogs, macaroni and cheese, dessert and a drink. Also, buy one bag of clothing and get one bag free. Parents can register their children for three Easter baskets to be given away at noon.
Springwood Food Pantry dates
The Springwood Baptist Food Pantry will be open on April 5 and April 19 from 10 a.m. until noon. Additionally, Feeding America Southwest Virginia’s produce delivery vehicle, the “Veggie Mobile,” will be onsite on April 5 to distribute fresh fruits and vegetables to community members in need free of charge. This program is part of the food bank’s Mobile Produce Program. Stop by and take advantage of this valuable opportunity to get fresh, healthy produce. In the future, the “Veggie Mobile” will visit Springwood Baptist Food Pantry on the first Wednesday of each month at 10 a.m.

‘Sharing God’s Grace’ returns April 18
After a break during the winter months, “Sharing God’s Grace,” the luncheon and fellowship gathering at Wheatland Lutheran Church, will resume on Tuesday, April 18. Lunch will be served at noon by the Ladies of the Church, followed by an informative program.
Leah Hatcher will be the speaker at the meeting to talk about the services and programs Lutheran Family Services provides in the Roanoke area and throughout the state. Leah is a Botetourt native and has been with Lutheran Family Services as a Development Coordinator for over two years.
Lutheran Family Services of Virginia (LFSVA) has two schools in Roanoke, both teaching students with behavioral and developmental disabilities. The vocational campus focuses on life skills to help prepare students for adulthood. LFSVA serves adults with disabilities through a Day Support program, Family Care Homes, and in-home care services. The newest program, Supported Employment Services, offers job coaching and resources for individuals with disabilities to get and maintain a job. Cloverdale Church of the Brethren Thrift Shop
Spring is just a round the corner. The thrift shop has a great selection of spring clothes for women, men and children. Come and get your Easter outfit. The shop is open each Saturday, 9 a.m.-1 p.m.
Troutville Baptists going to Kentucky
