Northern Botetourt Singers at Forest Grove
Forest Grove Baptist Church welcomes The Northern Botetourt Singers and Friends on Sunday, Dec. 31 at 3p.m. They will be presenting their Christmas cantata, “O Little Town of Bethlehem,” arranged by Russell Mauldin and directed by Lillian Cook. Troutville Brethren Christmas Eve services
The public is invited to Troutville Church of the Brethren on Christmas Eve for a cantata at 11 a.m. and candlelight service at 5:30 p.m. The church is located at 5133 Lee Highway; 992-1571.
Solomon’s Mission holiday hours
Solomon’s Mission in Buchanan will be open from 9 a.m.-noon on Saturdays, Dec. 23 and Dec. 30. but will be closed for donations Wednesday, Dec. 27, giving all volunteers time with their families during the Christmas season.
St. Mark’s Episcopal Christmas services
On Christmas Eve, St. Mark’s Episcopal Church will have Holy Communion at the 8 a.m. service. At the 10:30 a.m. service, there will be Lessons & Carols with communion. Then, at 4 p.m. there will be a Christmas Eve Service with full choir, a children’s homily, communion and candlelight singing of “Silent Night.” The church is on S. Roanoke Street, Fincastle. The Thrift Shop is all ready for Christmas with a large selection of sweaters also Christmas sweaters, vests and accessories, Christmas dresses, shoes, children’s clothes and Christmas gifts. The shop is open each Saturday, 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. (closed December 23 and 30 to celebrate Christmas and New Year’s).

Trinity Episcopal Church in Buchanan will have two Christmas Eve services on Sunday, Dec. 24. The first is Holy Eucharist at 9:30 a.m. with celebrant the Rev. Tom Crittenden. Fellowship and coffee will follow.
