Terrific Tuesdays Dinner April 29
Everyone is welcome to the free Terrific Tuesdays Church and Community Dinner at Fincastle United Methodist Church’s Family Life Center, located at 137 S. Church Street, on Tuesday, April 29. Dinner will be served from 5:30-7 p.m.
Buchanan Food Pantry open Saturday
The Buchanan Presbyterian Church Food Pantry will be open this Saturday, April 26, from 9 until 11 a.m. The Food Pantry is located in front of the church at 19559 Main Street, Buchanan. Volunteers from Buchanan Baptist Church will help distribute food this week.
The Food Pantry distributes food on the second and fourth Saturday of the month. Volunteers are welcome to help. Anyone wishing to donate non-perishable food can call 540-254-1390. Or to make a monetary donation, mail a check to P.O. Box 517, Buchanan, 24066 and note it for the Food Pantry.
FUMC BBQ at the VFW May 3
Mark your calendars now for Fincastle United Methodist’s Annual Church BBQ on Saturday, May 3 at the VFW on Route 220. You may dine in or take out between 4-7p.m. Tickets are $15 and can be purchased at the church during business hours of Tuesday-Thursday, 9:30 a.m.-2 p.m. Or call 540-473-2437 and leave a message for your call to be returned. Some tickets will be available at the door.
Cloverdale Thrift Store spring sale
Spring has arrived at the Cloverdale Church of the Brethren Thrift Store with a wide selection of new items and brand-name shirts for $1. Donations are greatly appreciated. The store is open Saturdays, 9 to 12.
Churches holding golf tournament
Springwood Baptist Church and Wheatland Lutheran Church are holding their second annual Feeding Friends Golf Tournament on May 3 at Botetourt Swim & Golf Club. The proceeds from the tournament support both food pantries and the Garden of Grace at Wheatland Lutheran.

Eagle Rock Clothes Closet dates
The Eagle Rock Community Clothes Closet at Eagle Rock United Methodist Church, 14565 Church Street, will be open Saturdays, May 3 and 10, from 9 a.m. to 12 noon, and Wednesday, May 7, from 5 to 6 p.m.
Available are men’s, women’s, and children’s clothing as well as shoes and some toys at no charge. Bags are provided and patrons are asked to honor the bag limit so as many people as possible can be served. National Day of Prayer observance in Eagle Rock
Thursday, May 1 is National Day of Prayer. A group is meeting at the Eagle Rock Library at 12 noon to pray for the nation and the world. After the meeting, attend a Dutch treat lunch at Iron and Ore in Eagle Rock.
