Good Friday, Easter Sunrise Services at Daleville Baptist
Daleville Baptist Church will have a Good Friday Service on April 3 at 7 p.m.

Easter services at Buchanan Presbyterian

Glade Creek Baptist holding Good Friday Service
Glade Creek Baptist Church will host a Good Friday Service on April 3 at 6:30 p.m. in the church sanctuary. The service will be a time of reflection on the sacrifice of Jesus Christ and the meaning of the cross. The community is invited to attend this service of worship and remembrance.

A Good Friday Tenebrae Service will be held at Fincastle United Methodist Church at 7 p.m. April 3, a service of shadows, scripture and song.
Easter Sunday events are: 7 a.m., Sunrise Service in Godwin Cemetery (in the event of rain, the service will be held in the sanctuary); 7:30-8:45 a.m., breakfast in the Family Life Center, come anytime during breakfast hours; and 10 a.m., worship service in sanctuary.
Ebenezer UMC bake sale April 4
Ebenezer United Methodist Church will have its annual Easter bake sale from 8 a.m. until noon on April 4. Cakes, pies, and cookies will be sold, with hot dogs being sold around 10 a.m. It will be held in the pavilion of Virginian Markette, Troutville..
Easter events at Zion Hill Baptist Church
Zion Hill Baptist Church, at the intersection of Zion Hill Road and Old Fincastle Road, Fincastle, invites everyone to Easter services:
- April 1- Easter Egg Hunt for kids and adult Bible study at 6 p.m. Supper will be provided at 5:30 p.m.
- April 5 – Easter Sunrise Service at 8 a.m. Breakfast will be served after the service. Easter Sunday worship service at 10 a.m. (no Sunday School).
Breakfast, Easter Egg Hunt at St. Mark’s UMC
St. Mark’s United Methodist in Daleville will once again host Breakfast with the Easter Bunny on Saturday, April 4 from 9-11 a.m. From 9-10:30, there are pictures with the bunny, games, and crafts. Breakfast will be served during this time as well. At 10:30, there will be an Easter Egg Hunt for all ages.
For those who plan to eat breakfast, it will be $12 for adults and children over 12, children 12 and under eat for $6, and children 3 and under eat for free.
All other activities besides breakfast are complimentary. You need to register on the church website, www.stmarksmethodist.com, even if you are not planning to eat breakfast.
Children’s Easter Fun Day April 4
Troutville Baptist Church invites area children to an Easter Fun Day at Troutville Park. Fun Day will be held from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. on Saturday, April 4, and will include an egg hunt, free hot dog lunch, crafts to make and games with prizes.

Easter observances at Galatia EPC
Galatia EPC, 78 Gala Loop Road, Eagle Rock, invites everyone to the Sunrise Service on April 5, at 7 a.m., with a potluck breakfast immediately following the service and walk to the cross. The regular worship service will be at 11 a.m. (no Sunday School that Sunday). Please come for the Easter Sunrise Service and walk to the cross with flowers (don’t forget to bring flowers). The Rev. Dr. Emily hook, pastor at Galatia EPC, will be conducting both services.
Services at Fincastle Presbyterian
Fincastle Presbyterian Church will be hosting a Wholeness and Healing Prayer Service on April 1. This is a short prayer service of silence, prayer and music followed by a meal and fellowship with a light supper. Meet in the sanctuary at 5 p.m. at 108 E. Back Street in Fincastle. The supper is immediately following in the downstairs fellowship hall. All are invited.
A Maundy Thursday/Tenebrae Service will be at 7 p.m. on April 2 in the sanctuary. The Easter worship service will be Sunday, April 5 at 10:30 a.m.

Mowing season is here and donations for maintenance of the Andrew Chapel United Methodist Church Cemetery are welcome. Cloverdale Thrift Store new hours, items
The spring collection has arrived at the Thrift Store at Cloverdale Church of the Brethren. It has beautiful jackets for $2 and all summer shirts are $1, with a wide variety of summer shoes. There are some great deals on kitchen wares. Donations are welcome.
The Thrift Store is now open Monday through Friday, 9 a.m.-12 p.m. and on Saturdays.
