Jennings Creek Gospel feeding fishermen for Trout Heritage Day

The Ladies Friendship Circle at Jennings Creek Gospel Church will be selling breakfast and lunch, from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m., during the annual Trout Heritage Day on April 6 to folks coming out to fish or anyone wishing to enjoy good food and fellowship while supporting missions.

For breakfast, sausage and gravy biscuits, sausage biscuits, ham biscuits, scrambled eggs and homemade fried apple pies will be available.

Lunch will include hamburgers, cheeseburgers, hot dogs with homemade chili, chili beans, pinto beans, loaded baked potatoes (your choice of toppings), cornbread, chips, and assorted desserts. Assorted canned sodas, bottled water, tea, coffee, and hot chocolate also will be available.

The food will be available at the picnic shelter at the church at 5486 Jennings Creek Road (Rt. 614), Buchanan. Proceeds will support the church’s local missions. For more information, contact Cherry Ramsey at (540) 520-5853.

 

Clearance sale at Cloverdale Thrift Store

Cloverdale Church of the Brethren Thrift Store is having a winter clearance sale. All clothing (for men, women, children) is half off the original price and shoes are 25 cents a pair. All books (hardback and paperback) are 10 cents each. Sale runs through April 13. Hours are Saturdays, 9 to 12; donations are appreciated.

 

Wesley Chapel Cemetery Fund needs donations for upkeep

Donations are needed for the upkeep of the Wesley Chapel Cemetery in Eagle Rock. Those who wish to help may send checks to Wesley Chapel Cemetery Fund, c/o Doris Johnson, 1906 Salt Petre Cave Road, Eagle Rock, 24085.
