Buchanan Food Pantry open Saturday
The Buchanan Presbyterian Church’s Food Pantry will be open this Saturday, April 12, from 9-11 a.m. St. Mark’s United Methodist Church members will distribute food at 19559 Main Street in front of the church.
The Food Pantry is open the second and fourth Saturdays of the month. Volunteers are encouraged to help distribute food on these dates. Anyone wishing to donate nonperishable food items may call 540-254-1390 for information.
Easter activities at St. Mark’s
St. Mark’s United Methodist Church in Daleville (19 Cedar Ridge Drive) will be hosting a Community-Wide Easter Event on Saturday, April 19 from 9-11 a.m., the Third Annual Easter Bunny Breakfast. The breakfast, pictures with the Easter Bunny, games and other activities will be from 9-10:30. At 10:30, there will be a free Easter Egg Hunt. Breakfast of pancakes, sausage and baked apples is $12 for 12 years old to adults. Children 3-11 will be $6 and children under 3 are free. The Easter Egg Hunt is free. Cloverdale Thrift Store spring sale
Spring has arrived at the Cloverdale Church of the Brethren Thrift Store with a wide selection of new items and brand-name shirts for $1. Donations are greatly appreciated. The store is open Saturdays, 9 to 12.

Cantata at St. Mark’s UMC
The Chancel Choir of St. Mark’s United Methodist Church, Daleville invites the community to share in their presentation of “Sanctuary,” a cantata written by Joseph Martin, to be presented on Sunday, April 13 at 10 a.m. The choir is conducted by Deborah Wiley and accompanied by Cara Hubbard.
Cedar Bluff Easter Story Event
Cedar Bluff Baptist will be having an Easter Story Event on Saturday, April 12. This is a free event, for all ages. Event begins at 2 p.m. with a walk-through story of Holy Week, followed by crafts, an egg hunt, photo ops, games and fellowship. There is a Facebook event page created as well (facebook.com/events/658887567098899). All are welcome.
Woodland Church Easter services
Woodland Church will have a service on Good Friday, April 18 at 7 p.ma., A gathering to recognize the infinite sacrifice and indescribable love the Lord demonstrated nearly 2000 years ago. On Easter Sunday, the church will celebrate His resurrection at 10:30 a.m. and have a continental breakfast at 9:30 a.m. Everyone is invited to attend both services.
