Springwood Food Pantry open Saturday
The Springwood Baptist Food Pantry will be open on Saturday, August 21, from 9-11 a.m. The pantry is located at 88 Copps Hill Road, Buchanan. Clients are asked to remain in their cars and food orders will be delivered to them. Additionally, clients are asked to wear masks, practice social distancing, and use proper hand hygiene while visiting the pantry. These measures will help to keep everyone safe as food is picked up. The pantry is a partner with Feeding America Southwest Virginia and distributes USDA food on the third Saturday of each month to clients.
Homecoming at New Beginnings
New Beginnings Assembly of God will celebrate Homecoming on Sunday, Aug. 22, beginning at 10 a.m., followed by a meal. There will be special music/singing after lunch. Everyone is invited to attend. The church is located at 1317 Narrow Passage Road, Buchanan.
Area children invited to join Botetourt Music Academy choir
A new music opportunity is coming to Botetourt County. All children ages 9-12 are welcome to join the Children’s Choir of the Botetourt Music Academy. Rehearsals begin September 1. Email for more information and a link to register – music@stmarksfincastle.org.
