GriefShare at St. Mark’s UMC
Everyone experiences loss of loved ones through death; sooner or later, all will walk the journey of grief. In order to find the way from mourning to healing and restoration, sharing the journey with a small group of others going through the same thing may help. GriefShare was designed as a nondenominational program to help guide people through this season of grief with biblical, Christian principles and lessons. The group is led by caring people who have experienced grief and have successfully rebuilt their lives.
GriefShare will be offered at St. Mark’s United Methodist Church, 19 Cedar Ridge Drive, Daleville, on Thursdays through November 14. There will be two sessions offered each Thursday: from 10 a.m. to noon and from 6:30-8:30 p.m.
The classes and materials are being offered to the general public free of charge. Donations will be received at the end of each session towards workbooks for the next group, to be given in memory of a loved one.
Anyone is welcome and may join during any of the 14-week sessions since each session is “self-contained,” so participants do not have to attend in sequence. They will able to pick up any session missed in the next series.
