‘Carols by Candlelight’ in Fincastle Friday
Botetourt Church of God of Prophecy invites the public to “Carols by Candlelight” at 6 p.m. Friday, Dec. 12.
The evening will include classic carols featuring a trumpet trio and Scripture readings, with refreshments to follow.

A Christmas program will be held at Mt. Joy Church of the Brethren Saturday, Dec. 13, at 6 p.m. The church is located at 2565 Buffalo Road, Buchanan.
Date change for Buchanan Food Pantry
The Buchanan Food Pantry pick-ups for this month will be Dec. 13, the second Saturday of the month, hosted by Buchanan Baptist Church, and Dec. 20, the third Saturday of the month, hosted by the Presbyterian Church. Both are from 9 a.m.-11 a.m. The church is located at 19559 Main Street, Buchanan.
Christmas Craft Sale December 13
United Women in Faith invites shoppers to a Christmas Craft Sale on Saturday, Dec. 13, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.
A variety of home-baked goods and handmade items will be for sale, along with free hot chocolate and coffee.
The event will be held in the narthex of Trinity United Methodist Church at 19637 Main Street, Buchanan.
‘Brunch With Santa’ at Fincastle UMC
Fincastle United Methodist Church is sponsoring “Brunch With Santa” from 10 a.m. to noon on Saturday, Dec. 13. It will be held in the Family Life Center, 137 S. Church Street in Fincastle. The event will include games and craft activities in addition to the meal. Admission is free.
Pleasant Hill distributing food Dec. 13
Pleasant Hill Baptist Church will distribute food boxes Saturday, Dec. 13, from 9-10:30 or until all boxes are gone. Pick up at the church on Country Club Road or at the Eagle Rock Library.
Healing service at Fincastle Presbyterian
Fincastle Presbyterian Church will host a Wholeness and Healing service on Wednesday, Dec. 17. All are invited. This is a short prayer service of quiet, music, and prayer followed by a time of fellowship with a light supper. Meet in the Fellowship Hall at 5 p.m., 108 E. Back Street in Fincastle.
Cloverdale Thrift Store Bag Sale
The Bag Sale is back! On the first three Saturdays in December, fill a bag with clothes and shoes for $5. Christmas items are priced separately. Gently used donations are welcome. The store is open Saturdays, 9 to 12.
